We had a lot of fun with this one from concept to animation and production, and yes those waves are real. This was the first site for the original underground surf contest dubbed ‘Mavericks’. Only the top professional surfers from around the world can even begin to ride these waves and one even lost their life their. Mark Foo rest in peace.

Featured in the film ‘Riding Giants‘ Mavericks is not a break to treat lightly. Although at Scine we skateboard and snowboard we will always have respect for where our loves came from and admiration for those who challenge themselves anywhere in the ocean.

Although the site has gone through revisions with another firm, this site was nominated for a Webby award and so we have put it here for posterity.
